This image is a detail of the installation of 100 trees, each can fit in the palm of your hand. They are made from various clays, slips, oxides and glazes. They explore my relationship with trees and each grows from the making process. The installation was made during the first Covid lockdown, a calming meditation of a tree a day for 100 days. The installation gradually became about many things beyond trees, about coming together as people through those challenging times and what lies beyond. Winner of the Bath Society of Artists Prize, and recently on show as part of their annual open exhibition at the Victoria Art Gallery in Bath. (Also recently on show at the RWA in Bristol as part of their annual open exhibition).
